Subscription Terms

These Subscription Terms ("Terms") govern your registration for and use of the Billingz® product, including the web application and mobile applications (together, "the Service"). The general website terms at billingz.com/terms continue to govern use of the public website. If these Terms conflict with the website terms in relation to the Service, these Terms prevail.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Billingz is an operational control and financial visibility tool for freelancers and micro-businesses. It helps you track invoices, expenses, cash position, runway, and related operational signals.

The Service is an informational tool. It is not a bank, a payment institution, an accounting service, or a source of financial, tax, or legal advice. Outputs such as runway estimates, risk indicators, and forecasts are computed from the data you enter and are indicative only. You remain solely responsible for your business, tax, and financial decisions.

3. Eligibility and account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and using the Service for business or professional purposes.
  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • One person or legal entity per account, unless a plan explicitly provides otherwise.

4. Plans and pricing

The Service is offered in the following plans. Prices are in euro (EUR) and exclude VAT. Applicable VAT is added at checkout based on your billing country and VAT status.

Annual plans are billed once per year and correspond to ten monthly payments (two months free compared to monthly billing). The feature composition of each plan is described in the Service and may evolve over time. We may change prices with at least 30 days notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.

5. Billing and payment

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • Accepted payment methods are cards and card-based wallets (for example Apple Pay and Google Pay).
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until cancelled.
  • When you upgrade mid-period, the price difference is prorated: unused time on your current plan is credited and the remainder of the period on the new plan is charged immediately.
  • When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No mid-period refunds are issued for downgrades.
  • If you provide a valid EU VAT number issued outside Bulgaria, the reverse charge mechanism applies and no Bulgarian VAT is charged. Without a VAT number, VAT is applied according to law.
  • Invoices and receipts are issued automatically and are available in the customer portal.

6. Failed payments and grace period

If a renewal payment fails, we will notify you and retry the payment. Your plan remains active during a grace period of 7 days from the failed payment. If payment is not completed within the grace period, your account is downgraded to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted on downgrade; features above the Free plan limits become read-only or inaccessible until you resubscribe.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time in the Service or through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep paid access until that date. After that date your account moves to the Free plan.

Details on cancellation and refunds, including the EU 14-day withdrawal right, are set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Early access and promotional offers

We may offer promotional pricing, extended access, or coupons (for example free months of a plan for selected early access members). Promotional offers are discretionary, personal, non-transferable, and may not be combined unless we state otherwise. Partner or affiliate arrangements provide commissions to partners and do not entitle customers to discounts.

9. Your content and data

  • You own the data you enter into the Service, including invoices, client records, and financial entries ("Customer Data").
  • You grant us the rights needed to host, process, and display Customer Data solely to provide the Service.
  • For personal data contained in Customer Data (for example your clients’ contact details), you act as data controller and Billingz acts as data processor. The Billingz Data Processing Agreement applies and forms part of these Terms.
  • For your own account and billing data, Billingz acts as data controller as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the Customer Data you enter.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for unlawful purposes; upload malicious code; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent; use automated means to extract data beyond normal product use; or use the Service to send spam or unlawful communications.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these rules, with notice where reasonably possible.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logic, and branding, is the property of Billingz EOOD or its licensors. The Billingz word mark is registered as European Union Trade Mark No. 019289324. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own business purposes during your subscription. No other rights are granted.

12. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance will be communicated where practical. Support is provided by email at support@billingz.com.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties. Outputs of the Service, including runway calculations, risk scores, VAT estimates, and forecasts, are informational and depend on the completeness and accuracy of the data you enter. They do not constitute financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Billingz is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing affects mandatory rights you hold as a consumer under EU or Bulgarian law.

15. Termination by us

We may terminate or suspend your access for material breach of these Terms that is not cured within 14 days of notice, or immediately for serious abuse, fraud, or legal requirement. On termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which it is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email at least 30 days before taking effect. If you do not agree with a material change, you may cancel before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Bulgarian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence within the EU. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Bulgarian courts, unless mandatory law provides you with a different forum.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
