Emailed: yes, 21 October 2026, every account holder; the last four lines were published later that day and go in the next notice
- Privacy PolicyChanged
Questions about your data and requests about your rights go to privacy@billingz.com, in the contact details (section 1) and under your rights (section 9), not to support@ any more.
- Privacy PolicyClarification
Billingz has not appointed a data protection officer and is not required to; the person responsible for data protection is named in section 13.
- Privacy PolicyChanged
Your waiting-list email address is kept until you withdraw your consent, and at the latest 12 months after the public launch (3 November 2027). Before, the line said "until the related program ends".
- Privacy PolicyClarification
Conversations with Ask Billingz are kept for 30 days, then deleted. One sentence said they were not kept at all; the 30 days stated elsewhere was always the rule.
The legal basis "performance of a contract" is named: Billingz processes your data to provide the product you signed up for.
Your IP address is stored with each consent you give (sign-up, agreeing to the terms, withdrawing it), as evidence that it was you.
If you try Billingz without an account, what you type is kept for 30 days, then deleted, unless you create an account and keep it.
Service emails are described: the Monday mirror email is on by default and can be switched off under Settings, Emails; security emails always come.
- Terms of ServiceChanged
The Terms of Service and the Subscription Terms apply together; if they conflict, the Subscription Terms prevail. Before, nothing said which one wins.
- Terms of ServiceChanged
Your data is used only as needed to provide the service. Before: "to provide and improve the Service".
- Terms of ServiceChanged
After your account ends, your data stays available for export for 30 days. Before: "a reasonable period".
- Terms of ServiceClarification
When you upgrade mid-period, unused time on your plan is credited and the rest of the period on the new plan is charged at once, the same rule as in the Subscription Terms.
- Terms of ServiceWording
"Web and mobile application" now reads "web application (and mobile applications, once released)"; the trademark sentence no longer names an owner; plan names use a colon instead of a hyphen.
- Subscription TermsChanged
If every payment attempt fails, the account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted or hidden; what is above the Free limits is read-only until you subscribe again. Before: "read-only or inaccessible".
- Subscription TermsClarification
The seven businesses-only countries in two groups: North Macedonia, the United Kingdom and Moldova, businesses with a tax number; Albania, Kosovo, Serbia and Montenegro, VAT-registered businesses only.
- Subscription TermsChanged
The Subscription Terms and the Terms of Service apply together; if they conflict, the Subscription Terms prevail.
- Terms of UseRemoved
The sentence that separate Subscription Terms "will govern" the product when it launches, and the "Founder Circle", are gone: the Subscription Terms govern the product now, and the waiting list is the only list.
- Data Processing AgreementChanged
The contact in section 1 is privacy@billingz.com, with a pointer to the person responsible for data protection in the Privacy Policy.
- SubprocessorsChanged
Questions about the list go to privacy@billingz.com.
New processor: Take a NAP (Софтауеър ООД, Softaware OOD, Sofia) issues and emails the fiscal receipt Bulgarian law requires for card payments; the data is kept in the EU (Germany). Starts with the first payment, on 3 November.
The same Take a NAP row in the DPA's subprocessor table.
Take a NAP is named next to Stripe as the processor that issues the fiscal receipt for card payments.
- SecurityClarification
Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app is available for every account; it is a choice, not a requirement.
- Cookie PolicyClarification
The two "seen" cookies (the gift message, a closed teaser) remember a setting you chose, set only after your own tap; the section reflects the app as of 21 October 2026.
- ImprintWording
The review date follows the legal date.
How long security and log data is kept, exactly: failed sign-in attempts 24 hours; sign-in history 12 months; copies of service emails we send you 13 months; copies of documents you send to your clients stay with the document in your account; our internal access log 24 months. Before: "typically 30-90 days".
Our external accountant, Kolhida Finans OOD (Sofia), is named as a recipient of our own billing data, for our bookkeeping and tax filings. She never sees what you enter about your clients.
Prices are in euro; at checkout Stripe may show the amount in your local currency, and your invoice is in euro. Before, the sentence said you are charged in your local currency.
The trademark owner is shown: the Billingz word mark is a registered EU trademark of Billingz EOOD (No. 019289324), the transfer recorded by EUIPO.
- Privacy PolicyChanged
Privacy questions and requests about your data go to privacy@billingz.com; the person responsible for data protection is named in section 13. Everything else stays with support@billingz.com.
- Privacy PolicyClarification
How long Billingz keeps its own billing and invoicing records now reads the same in both places: as Bulgarian accounting and tax law requires, up to 10 years. One place said "typically 5-7 years".
How the signals in Billingz are made: by fixed rules, only from your own records, never combined with other customers' data, shown to nobody outside your account, and never acting by themselves.
The AI assistant is named: it receives only the data needed to answer a question or prepare a draft you confirm.
- Subscription TermsWording
"Risk signals" in place of "risk scores" in the disclaimer. Nothing changes in what the feature does.
16 October 2026
In effect from 15 November 2026 · Emailed: yes, 16 October 2026, the 14 accounts in North Macedonia and Montenegro
Businesses only in seven countries: in North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, the United Kingdom, Montenegro and Moldova, Billingz is sold to businesses, not to private individuals, because of local VAT rules. You confirm that you buy for your business.
Add-ons: some features are sold as add-ons (for example Momentum), only with a paid plan, billed with your plan for the same period, at the price shown.

- Cookie PolicyChanged
The app's cookies listed one by one with what each does and how long it lasts (sign-in, time zone, the sign-in with Google or Apple, invitations, the waiting list, the join link, the trial invoice, the gift message, a closed teaser, the app-or-website choice), and the values kept in your browser only (theme, menu, search, Ask Billingz settings). No analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts.
- Cookie PolicyRemoved
The referral cookie (bz_ref) is gone from the list, with the referral rewards paused.

A section on the assistant in the app, Ask Billingz: what it receives (your message, the recent conversation, the facts it needs), where it runs (Google Cloud, Vertex AI, in the EU; Google does not train on your data), why, that it decides nothing on its own, that conversations are kept 30 days, and that you can always write to a person instead.
Ask Billingz is an AI: it can make mistakes, check figures before you rely on them, it never acts without your confirmation, and it gives no financial, tax or legal advice.
Google Cloud added, for the in-app assistant (Vertex AI, processed in the EU).
Google Cloud added to the subprocessor table, for the in-app assistant.
The SafeGuard gift conditions: free for 12 months from the day it starts, personal to the invited business, not transferable, no card asked, nothing renews; on the end date the account moves to Free by itself, and your data is not deleted.
If you create an account for a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it; the company is then the customer.
The same company-authority sentence as in the Subscription Terms.
- SubprocessorsWording
Google Cloud's contracting entity shown as "Google Cloud" until the entity is confirmed.

Calendar link: if you add your Billingz calendar to your phone, a private link is created; your calendar provider reads your due dates through it and keeps its own copy. Client names and amounts stay out unless you switch them on. You can cancel the link at any time.
- Data Processing AgreementClarification
An export, a calendar link or a connection you set up counts as your instruction to Billingz.

Documents are generated from the data you enter, exactly as entered; you verify every document before issuing it, and you configure VAT status, rates, fields and numbering for your own obligations.
No promise that a document made with Billingz complies with any country's rules; availability in a country is not such a promise.
You indemnify Billingz against third-party claims and penalties that arise from your data, your documents or your use in breach of the Terms or the law.

A new document: what Billingz provides for invoicing (layouts, country templates, field presets, prompts, calculations), that they are a starting point and not advice, that compliance depends on the transaction and not the template, and that checks such as a VAT number lookup are aids, not certifications.
