How to connect Billingz to ChatGPT

Short answer

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps (Connectors), with developer mode on. Create an app, paste the server address https://app.billingz.com/mcp, choose OAuth, and sign in to Billingz. By default it can only read.

Three steps

1. Open the app settings. In ChatGPT, go to Settings, then Apps (Connectors), with developer mode on.
2. Add the server. Create an app, name it Billingz, paste the server address https://app.billingz.com/mcp and choose OAuth.
3. Sign in and choose. Sign in to Billingz. A screen in Billingz shows what the assistant may do. By default it can only read. Tick more only for what you want it to do, then confirm.

These steps may change in ChatGPT’s own settings. If a menu is named differently, look for the same three things: apps, developer mode, and the address.

What you can tick

Reading is on from the start. Tick more only for what you want your assistant to do, such as prepare drafts, finalize or send an invoice, send a reminder, record a payment, or add a client, a supplier or a cost. What it can reach follows your plan and your role. You can change the ticks at any time under Account, Connected AI tools.

Who confirms

In our tests, ChatGPT showed the change and asked first. Billingz cannot see your chat, so this depends on ChatGPT and on the settings you chose in it. What do I choose for authentication?

OAuth. You then sign in to Billingz, and Billingz asks what the assistant may do.

Can I make Billingz ask me before anything happens?

Yes. Open Account, then Connected AI tools, and switch the connection to Ask me in Billingz. After that, every action that issues, sends, reminds or records waits under Needs you, and happens only when you approve it in Billingz. Drafts do not wait. A request you do not answer expires after 7 days.

How do I disconnect Billingz?

Open Account, then Connected AI tools, and choose Disconnect next to the connection. From that moment Billingz refuses every call from that assistant. Removing Billingz only inside ChatGPT does not close the connection on our side, so disconnect in Billingz as well.
