What is Billingz in Claude and ChatGPT?
Short answer
It is a way to use Billingz from Claude or ChatGPT. You add Billingz to your assistant once, with a server address, and sign in. Then you ask in plain words, and your assistant answers from your own numbers. It reads only until you allow more, and it never moves money.
What it is
Claude and ChatGPT can connect to other services. The open standard behind this is called MCP, short for Model Context Protocol. Billingz has an MCP server, and its address is https://app.billingz.com/mcp. You never need the word again after you paste the address.
Once it is added, you ask your assistant in plain words, for example how long your money lasts, or to make an invoice. The answer comes from your own Billingz account.
What it can do
What it can reach follows your plan and your role. Across the plans, your assistant can:
- Read. Your position and runway, the money this month, who owes you, your invoices, bills and costs, clients and suppliers.
- Prepare drafts. Invoices, pro formas, reminders and costs, for you to check.
- Act, when you allow it. On every plan: add a client, a supplier or a cost, and finalize an invoice within the plan's invoice allowance. From Core: send an invoice, send a reminder and record a payment. Up to 50 finalizing, sending and reminding actions per connection per day.
- Go further on higher plans. The profit and cash report on Control. Signals, the cash forecast and putting a bill to pay under Needs you on SafeGuard.
Who decides
You do. After you sign in, a screen in Billingz shows what the assistant may do. By default it can only read. You tick more only for what you want it to do, and you can change the ticks, or disconnect, at any time under Account, Connected AI tools.
In our tests, the assistant showed what would happen and asked first. Billingz cannot see your chat, so whether it asks first depends on the assistant and on the settings you chose in it. If you want the last word in Billingz, switch the connection to Ask me in Billingz. Every action that issues, sends, reminds or records then waits under Needs you until you approve it there. Drafts do not wait.
What it can never do
Billingz never moves money. Your assistant can never change bank details, your company name, your VAT number or your invoice numbering. It can never change security settings or your plan, delete anything, or invite people. You do these in Billingz only. There is no way for it to do these. An account number sent in a request is refused and shown to you in Activity.
Opening a bill to pay always waits for you in Billingz, where its payment details open. You pay in your own bank and mark it paid.
What happens to your data
What your assistant asks for is sent to its provider and handled under its terms. Billingz does not choose your assistant and is not its processor. Every action stays in your Activity, marked as done through the assistant. How this works is in the Privacy Policy, section 2d.
Common questions
Does it cost extra?
No. There is no separate price. What your assistant can do in Billingz follows your plan and your role.
Does it move my money?
No. Billingz never moves money, and nothing in this connection does. Recording a payment you received only records it.
Can my assistant change my bank details?
No. Your assistant never receives a bank account, and it can never change bank details, your company name, your VAT number or your invoice numbering. You do these in Billingz only.

Yes. Check what your assistant shows you before you confirm. Billingz gives signals, not financial, tax or legal advice.
